Baked Goods: 2 Hungry Bros x 8THW1 x Sleepwalkas Release Party @ Southpaw – 7.26.10

Last night Southpaw was the place to be. Nuff said! Producers 2 Hungry Bros celebrated 2 projects they’ve recently been working on: “No Room For Dessert” with 8THW1, and “Cookie Cutter Cornballs Can’t Cut It on This CD” (coming very soon). To help them with the festivities were a whole slew of cornerstones in the NYC underground community, fans, friends and family. Featuring performances by Blac Dinero (Top $ Raz & Kalil Kash), So Soon,  Likwuid, Brokn.Englsh, Janelle Renee, I Am Many and of course 8THW1 & Sleepwalkas, as well as a rare set from some of the AOK Collective (Fresh Daily, P. So, Homeboy Sandman, 8THW1) featuring Von Pea of Tanya Morgan, the audience was taken on a musical ride from past to the present and even the future… Shouts to Sosa for DJing most of the night, to Ceci and Margie for holding down the merch table, to Jah-C and especially Cookies & Cream for sponsoring the event! If you missed the show last night, shame on you! Hope these photos help dull the pain. LOL

  2. […] So much family came together to celebrate the dual release of 2 Hungry Bros x 8THW1′s “No Room For Dessert” and The Sleepwalkas’ “Cookie Cornballs Can’t Cut It…” on a hot summer night in Brooklyn. This night, I saw I Am Many perform for the first time, and several occasions later, I still can’t get enough! Sleepwalkas threw out balloons with money hidden inside, and I got to go crazy with Alice In Wonderland when 8THW1 performed “Drunken Saturday!” The good folks over at Cookies N Cream brought out their awesome truck, and of course there were cookies on deck! Check out my event recap… […]
